To tell you the truth I do not know how I could be without this service. This service has proven to be very cost effective and has allowed me to be more efficient with my time.

We have been with PSI Background Checks for less than a year, but probably have had more requests than would be normal for most businesses due to the number of adjunct teachers we use on our four campuses and the rate of turnover in our part-time employees with campus safety. So, I think that qualifies me to evaluate their services. That is one area that I do not have to worry about, because of the professionalism, the dedication to getting the job done, and the ability to get the information we need in order to make educated decisions in hiring. PSI employees are very efficient, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Most of our communication is by e-mail.
They respond when we send the paperwork on a person to them, they give an update if they are having trouble getting any information, and then they e-mail the report. The turnaround time, averaging two days, is very satisfactory, and the billing comes by e-mail and is clear and concise. And finally, Greg Sumner, who met with us, was professional and truthful in the information he presented, with no attempt to pressure or persuade but to give us what we required so we could make a decision based on our needs. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate them a 5.

When I met Greg socially, I had no idea I would become one of his clients. Background checks seemed to be something required for bank tellers and legal aids. I couldn’t imagine how I could use their services in my concrete products business. When I added a new position and immediately experienced problems with turnover, I decided to begin screening applicants before hiring them. My favorite PSI story goes something like this… I interviewed an applicant who was up-front that his previous decisions weren’t always good ones; however, I knew his mother and he seemed like a hard worker who deserved a second chance.
When the background check came in, I was at a conference in Indianapolis. I read it on my blackberry and I continued to scroll and scroll and scroll. This guy had a rap sheet that you wouldn’t believe and a history I would never want around my family. Today, I screen all new hires; it takes the guess work out of hiring new employees. They may not work out in the end, but at least I know they don’t have a “history.” I recommend PSI to all of my colleagues and associates as soon as we begin sharing employee horror stories. I highly recommend PSI to perform background investigations on your prospective employees. Kennesaw State University Department of Public Safety began using PSI last year. In the past, our department performed our own background investigations and the hiring process was very lengthy. Using PSI decreased that time substantially.
